In its current state, the permban list contains over 500 entries, dating as far back as 2017 and even possibly 2016. This suggestion is not to suggest a full wipe of the permban list, but to clean it up as much as possible and remove old entries, allowing for more players to join.
What do you think?

Why not a full clear? I think we're overdue for one.

A full wipe is a really bad idea imo. People permbanned just a couple days ago would be allowed to join.
Vouch for a entries over a year

Vouch (over a year tho, I don’t think a full clear is smart).

I Vouch for clearing anything over 6 months old. It's best as recent additions still remain banned.

I vouch for the overdue perm bans, but what about those notoriously perm banned players? (Cough Savnith)

I vouch for a full clear.
If some people that were recently permbanned come back on, that's not inherently a bad thing. We did full list clears for years and we've netted good results from it more than bad results. There is absolutely no need for us to keep around the same list from 2016. If we're picking and choosing who stays permbanned, then we're just going to trap ourselves into vague & unclear standards that we cannot agree on.

I think Permbans may just need an overhaul in terms of logic, I know it was discussed months back around making it to TFM better handled it and so it wasn't just a YAML File, maybe this is a good chance to do it, and have a system whereby the timestamp of the ban is logged and TFM can have a Permban retention policy set in config to retain perm bans for X months from when they were added...?
