block the usage of &k in death messages since most peoples weapons result in the entire death message becoming obfuscated add a command which blocks logins under a username unless the ip is already verified to not be an imposter, use will be if someone is repeatedly hopping vpns to repeatedly impose a single username literally already a thing this probably wont be added, but a command which allows admins to check if a user is connected on a vpn by querying wikipedias block lists and checking if the ip address is blocked for "host" "proxy" or "tor" (endpoint is: en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=blocks&format=json&bkip=0.0.0.0). a command which temp blocks joining from a vpn (ip check every member logging in, and if the 'connectee' is flagged by wikipedias block list kick them and add the ip to a temporary cache) would also be useful for staff members for when an individual repeatedly hops VPNs and griefs under multiple usernames then again i'm probably asking alot from the devs

1) i have no idea why that's not implemented already. we disallow &k in chat so why the hell do we not do anything about items with it?
2) we already have this. it's /linkdiscord and /verify. if a username of an actual player is getting imposed and they don't have a verification system set up, forgive my harshness but that's their own damn fault- they'll get unbanned with an appeal anyways. if it's a username of someone who isn't an avid player, we can tell if they're switching ips 24/7.
3) we already have something implemented where we can tell if an admin is using a vpn, but i don't know if we have something where a player is using a vpn. we might.

block the usage of &k in death messages since most peoples weapons result in the entire death message becoming obfuscated Never seen this, if it's disruptive to chat for others it either should be fixed or blocked IMO. add a command which blocks logins under a username unless the ip is already verified to not be an imposter, use will be if someone is repeatedly hopping vpns to repeatedly impose a single username Absolutely not... It breaks the entire concept of a Freedom server. Players have always been encouraged to login as whoever they want, and I don't think that should change now... this probably wont be added, but a command which allows admins to check if a user is connected on a vpn by querying wikipedias block lists and checking if the ip address is blocked for "host" "proxy" or "tor" (endpoint is: en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=blocks&format=json&bkip=0.0.0.0). a command which temp blocks joining from a vpn (ip check every member logging in, and if the 'connectee' is flagged by wikipedias block list kick them and add the ip to a temporary cache) would also be useful for staff members for when an individual repeatedly hops VPNs and griefs under multiple usernames Very difficult to do right. Anyone can host a VPN or Proxy, and a good VPN or Proxy wouldn't be on a tracked list. I run VPN's myself for my work stuff and you'd never know if it was the real me or the VPN using this sort of method. I'd suggest against this, we've done it previously and IIRC it was more pain than it was worth.

As I say, it's impossible to know all the VPN Addresses without banning the entire internet...

Kicking people for having their IP blocked by Wikipedia would catch non VPN users too. Terrible idea.
Also, there are ways of slowing down these people. One of them is to have a senior admin run lockup on them. Its also possible for an admin to simply keep banning them until they get bored or frustrated. It takes patience but I have done it multiple times.
As for &k, that glitches out text rendering and sometimes even makes the chat shake a bit. If anything &k should not be allowed in chat by any method. &0 while less problematic is far better suited for use on signs and in books.
