I was installing Pivot 4 (a animator program) and I accidentally accepted the terms and agreement for WebDiscover in the installer, which put a search bar on top of my PC's screen after finishing the install process. Should I be alerted to the fact that I just got a virus? Or what else?

I'd run an anti virus just to check. My brother used to have a search bar like that and his PC eventually had a bunch of files randomly deleted, eventually bricking the PC. I'd get that checked ASAP

WebDiscover is a piece of adware. While it may not infect files or delete stuff, it might collect data about you (and send it to god knows who) and cause your computer to slow down a bit.

It is a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program). These are mostly annoying, but may be somewhat harmful too. I'd recommend running AdwCleaner ASAP: www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/That will purge any adware you may have accidentally installed, even if the adware with rootkit-like capabilities are removed by this tool.

I used IObit (a REALLY powerful uninstaller that basically destroys apps and files on action) to uninstall it from my pc, including some other files tied to it. Did this also work, or did i mess up, and now about to lose my pc afterwards?

Did this also work, or did i mess up, and now about to lose my pc afterwards? IOBit's products are also considered PUPs. So, basically you're using some shady software to take care of other shady software. I can't recommend AdwCleaner enough. Seriously. I doubt that WebDiscover is the only PUP you have based on the habits I'm noticing.

I'd get that checked ASAP Most AV software does not do all that well with removing PUPs and adware. That is why separate software exists for that such as MalwareBytes, AdwCleaner, etc. IOBit's products are also considered PUPs. So, basically you're using some shady software to take care of other shady software. I can't recommend AdwCleaner enough. Seriously. I doubt that WebDiscover is the only PUP you have based on the habits I'm noticing. How is IOBit's uninstaller a PUP? Please explain. forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/228094-iobit-battle-and-drama/This is soon to be what it will be like in my brain when my PC gets bricked: Your PC won't get "bricked" if you run AdwCleaner, plus a MalwareBytes scan. I've done this on a lot of PCs to clean up exactly the same kind of problem you're having now.
