This is my mom whenever she looks at me but anyways uh When I copied everything over, this didn't happen. When I selected solely my Pictures folder, it gave me that error. My tablet is an Amazon Fire HD 8, my computer is a Lenovo running Windows 10 Pro. What causes this and how can I stop it from ever happening ever again?

A quick Google search: catastrophic failure. Catastrophic failure is a complete, sudden, often unexpected breakdown in a machine, electronic system, computer or network. Such a breakdown may occur as a result of a hardware event such as a disk drive crash, memory chip failure or surge on the power line.
Your probably screwed but heck what do I know?

Okay, seeing as some of these other responses have been quite counter productive. I’ll provide some actual useful advice
This is something I’ve seen whilst using windows explorer to copy files from cameras using the default protocol.
You’ll probably find better luck using third party photo importing software to do this.
I believe the protocol is called MTP, find yourself a client that can interface with this, and you’ll find that it’s error handling is probably far superior to that of Windows Explorer. As from what I’ve experienced when using MTP, if one file fails (for any reason) it just breaks the whole transfer
And to all those shitting on Lenovo, you’ve clearly never seen a professional environment in your life. They are reliable machines, and this has largely worked its way down to the consumer level, and you’re just as bad as the “Mac users are dumb” and “windows users are dumb” crowds. The people that only see something from one side and are unable to think for themselves.
