Honestly, I don't get why apple decided to add a notch instead of just removing the home button.

As of that picture, my comment is no longer either relevant or correct I’m honestly surprised you don’t know what an iPhone X look like I don't bother looking up phones I don't have the money to buy. Besides, I'm not very interested in either phones or apple.

I think the notch is also a way of copying Apple's design as a form of branding. When I see a notch (currently), I know it's an iPhone X whereas the regular line from iPhone 6 to 8 all look similar (virtually only with/without a headphone jack). britain isn’t the only time place that uses colour, ever other english speaking country except for the united states does Yeah but everyone in the world excluding those countries is colorful Canada is a very colourful country.

I wrote about this for my school newspaper. I think the notch would have been kept regardless if the technology could be embedded in the display or fit somewhere else. Remove the notch and to an unaware consumer, is it a Galaxy S8? A LG V30? There's no home button to identify the product from the front, and the bezels (as you mentioned) no longer have the distinct camera-earpiece setup. All other Apple products have a distinct way to be identified, a MacBook Pro, a touch bar, an iPad, the bezels, an Apple Watch, the crown, Apple TV, the remote style, HomePod, its shape and size, AirPods, the stem of each individual bud, even iMac (Pro)s have a distinct arch shape in the back, a chin bar and eye-grabbing peripheral styles. For Apple to remove the notch would be inviting consumers to mistake their products for another company's, something that a company like Apple probably doesn't want to risk.

I had to read this passage more than once to comprehend what was being said. Nevertheless, this particular company has never been keen on 'catering for idiots', per se.

The two main dialects of English that I'm aware of are American and British. Color is the American spelling, and colour is the British spelling. Most English speaking countries probably use the British dialect, or have developed their own dialects based on the British and retain that spelling. I base that on the fact that Britain once held many colonies and that spread their influence around the world. I also highly doubt that America is alone in having its own dialect of English with slight variations from the British.

In a certain country, down under: Afternoon - Arvo Good day - G'day Of course, there are many more as well, but these are the ones I probably use the most.

Canadian English is pretty vague; I doubt there's consensus on agreed spellings. We use American spellings for many things (ize over ise) but also British spellings (colour, favourite, centre). And then there are completely new words too (washroom, hoser, keener - I don't usually use the latter two words).
