Why are you going with an 8700k and a 1060? you already have an rx 480 even if it's only 4gb version it's not gimped like the 1060 3gb version is and you have access to freesync. The graphics card is a pretty useless buy in my opinion and you might be going overboard on the cpu unless you work with cpu intensive things.

What happened to getting the 8700k years down the road? And there's no point getting a 1060 if you have two 580's, literally 0 reasons.

You’re right about that, so I’ll probably just buy a second 480 or something and Crossfire if they can.

The i7-8700K and B250 chipset of your motherboard are not compatible. If you want your system to work, you will need a Z370 motherboard or i7-7700K. (If you get the Z370 motherboard, you can overclock)
Other than that, looks pretty nice.

I've brought it down the 7700k because I don't want to spend anymore than I have to, lol (I also just got the board about 4 months ago) Anyway, do you think I should get the 1060 or the RX480 and duel run (Crossfire) with my current one?

I would get the 1060 for 3 reasons: 1. Your motherboard only has one GPU slot 2. The RX 480 is at an insane price right now 3. Support for Crossfire/SLI is not very good in most games P.S. I have a 1060 6GB and I love it

you might be going overboard on the cpu unless you work with cpu intensive things. ^^^^ Can confirm. I game and do all of my programming/modeling/graphical design on an i3 6100. Low end processors have come a LONG ways. It's probably worth getting an i5 (or ryzen equivalent) and reinvesting that money into a beefier graphics card or SSD/Optane. (I recommend the 1060. 6GB model is worth it. nVidia's Gamestream allows you to play on your PC from anywhere. If you have an Android phone, you can pair an XBOX controller to it. As long as you're on good wifi, you can have a gaming PC anywhere.)

Volta and whatever AMD are bringing this year will probably be out by summertime. There really is no point in buying a 1060 imo

Hockey mibbzz I'll probably just do what Hockey said or something like that, or even what Mibbzz said about waiting for a new one. I'm thinking if I can run my RX480 with the i7 7700k than I'll hold off on buying the 1060 forever and just save up till some other time and buy the Volta/Vega when they come out. If you guys think that I could run the RX480 with the i7 decently, than I'll just buy things like a new case and SSDs and stuff. I really see no need to buy the 1060 if it's going to be the same as my current card.

You don't even necessarily need to buy the latest stuff when it comes out, but prices of current cards will drop once newer ones come out. GPU prices are also highly inflated right now, and a year from now you could get a 1080 for what you would pay for a 1060 now.

I’m doing it mostly to upgrade my system, so really you never answered my original question. Do you think I could run an RX480 4GB with an i7 7700k without bottleknecking from either one? And no added benefit if I go with the 1060.
