Although it is useful to have those in world edit, currently many many builds have been griefed and admins weren't able to find the griefer's name, they just fixed the grief. The griefers are pasting large amounts of gravel, sand, powder and sometimes anvils above builds, which causes massive amounts of lag and could disturb builds, possibly bypassing world guard protection

However, just a message to other OPs reporting, please run /near and screenshot all the nearby player's names, and I think it would help an admin. The server has also crashed now.

We don't need to block them in WorldEdit if we prevent them from falling in the first place; just an idea.

I don't think this is necessary, because of two reasons.
One, the blocks can be easily removed with commands like /ro or /replacenear.
Two, you can log the blocks by placing a tower above the grief location and logging all of the blocks in the tower.
