Malwarebytes Hitmanpro isn't free but has a month long trial, and it's an extremely good antivirus.

If not, Windows Defender can handle it.

If not, Windows Defender can handle it. Actually, Windows Defender combined with AdwCleaner have served me well for many years now (especially AdwCleaner). That includes for cleaning up malware on other people's PCs. I honestly can not stress enough how useful AdwCleaner is (its free and very easy to use too). Definitely keep your software (especially web browsers, and document readers!) updated to have the latest security fixes. That said though, no set of software will protect 100% from all threats so some good browsing habits can help too.

Rarely buggy, fresh design, and secure.

Malwarebytes. And Malware fighter. I also recommend a very good program to use. Iobit uninstaller. It is a very great software. Also, driver booster. Smart defrag and Advanced system care. These programs made my 18 year old pc shine up and work well. Malwarebytes = A malware/virus remover. (Recommended from personal experience, make sure to switch off a safety setting that you don't want this software to block.) Malware fighter = Full internet and download safety against cirus/malware (Recommended from personal experience, saved me from several malware. Especially on my download.) Driver Booster = This program is something to update all your system and make your pc work correctly. My new pc was lagging and very slow and bad while it's a very very VERY good gamer pc (Remember that it's a new pc. So it's just all new), so all my systems were very old and outdated. So I downloaded this software to this pc too and I made it do it's job. Now my pc is shiny and very new cool working. Smart defrag and Advanced system care = These programs are almost like Driver Booster. but they actually make your pc run a bit faster and less laggier, likely to make pc not over heat. They are both good for your system, I recommend these two. And Iobit uninstaller = It's basically a very useful easily used program to FULLY uninstall a malware virus or a program. Any program. You can uninstall anything on your computer with this. Even extensions on your browsers. I recommend this.
All of the programs I used above are very useful and I highly recommend for a good working pc.

driver boosterSmart defrag and Advanced system care Doesn't sound that good to me. You're probably better off just running Malwarebytes and Adw-cleaner.
