Today i decided to make this thread because i was DDoSed, ill tell you how it all started, i was simply doing my project in the admin world finishing off my Backingham palace, then some random person messaged me saying that i got doxed, i didn't believe him at first as i know i don't publish any important information about me online, he asked me if i want a link to it, of course i was so stupid to click on it, then it sent me to normal google starting page, i was confused then messaged the person back, told him it was just a google front page, and then i realised, it might have been an ip logger so i asked him: "is it Ip logger" ? He was like no no no, i accidentally sent wrong link. Then boom! disconected, all devices in my house lost internet connection. I was very lucky i knew what to do.
If you don't know what DDoS (Denial of servise attack) means please read:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack
For those who don't know what to do in the situation or don't know how to prevent it from happening:
So here is advise what to do in case you get DDoSed:
Simply turn off your router for atleast 1 minute, then turn it back on, tadaah! fixed.
If restarting the router won't help try restart your device you are using as well, it should be fixed then.
You don't have to tell your family members what happened as they might start panic, simply tell them that internet went off and restarting router might help.
It is not always the case that you got DDoSed when your internet connection dies, sometime it might just be technical issue.
If your internet does not turn back on after you restarted the router and your device, it might just be technical issue.
How to prevent DDoS? Simply don't click on links from people you don't know or don't trust.
Any sort of links even when they might look innocent such as www.google.com, they can always have something hidden inside.
Of course you can click on links sent by your friends you really trust, there should also be no problem with clicking on links sent by admins.
If you get any suspicious link from admin, feel free to report here on forums.
Simple way to say it, don't click on links from people you don't trust/know.
If you get DDoSed, just restart your router and your device.
Please be respectful in the reply section.
If you have anything to add feel free to do so.
I'm sorry for my bad grammar, i live in uk only 2 years now.
sincerely

Edit: Clicking on suspicious links can cause you to be doxed as well! be very careful!
