I honestly don't know why there is not core protect, because if there is a reason I'm willing to hear. It just seems a lot more efficient than the current set up with TFM. Please explain.
Edit: Thanks Jaguar

There are various reasons that are a little compliacted, but basically coreprotect logs every single block placement of each player on the server. If each player places around 30 blocks or more per minute. We have an average of 35-45 players on during peak times, so that's at least 900 lines on a log file or more. It just takes up a lot of space, refer to my old thread totalfreedom.boards.net/thread/7157/common-suggestions-denied?page=1

What Jaguar said is utter crap. CoreProtect's data file which it stores EVERYTHING in is so small, its not even a megabyte. Its people like you that don't know what you are talking about that shoot down really good ideas that would benefit the server. As for logstick, it is SO SMALL in comparison to CoreProtect its a wonder that CoreProtect isn't already been used, because unlike popular belief it neither affects performance or space. That's not true, on anther server, they said they core Protect file is 10gb big, plus, there is a lot of people griefing on totalfreedom, it will make it bigger, CreProtect logs chat, world edit, commands, block edits so it will get just larger and larger.. (It will start out small)

That's a bit rude, I'm not talking 'utter crap'. Also, not just that. We are an 'All-op' server. This means that the level of permission will be admin for all players. Meaning they can rollback other players builds e.t.c. I also don't "Shoot down good ideas" i've been here long enough to have it suggested many times. Do you really think that I would make up shit when i've nearly been here for 4 years.

Mmh. I was wondering if devs can do every 2 server restart coreprotects wipe his data automatically. And a command for seniors/telnet to manually wipe coreprotects datas. It eill be not a bad idea

396, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. 10gb is not only stupid, you are probably making it up. Please refrain from creating drama on the thread Or thread Hijacking or you may face a forum ban.

You want proof? I downloaded the .db file from the CoreProtect folder and opened its properties. Btw tohgamer, you can but out of this conversation. I am simply raising concerns on the view of some people (gives evil eye to 396) in relation to CoreProtect. I have no problem with people stating their opinions, but it becomes a problem when you say our opinion is wrong. I'm not just making this shit off the top of my head, we HAD and tested coreprotect on our server, but and I quote markbyron here "We tested it briefly, but it creates a monster sized database as it logs every block placed"

Not only can the file get much bigger but the server will likely lag due to coreprotect constantly logging everything, as well as errors being basically guaranteed when working with such a log file.
