Everyone here knows Norton. Well, of course there are some fake Nortons (viruses) but i had a weird one. If your PC keeps on restarting, u might know what is happening. If this keeps on popping up ALSO: Immediatly go to Search > %temp% and delete all. U may want to not permanently delete it YET, but put it in the Recycle bin. It may be something like this: As you can see, the fake norton. And all those random files (e.g. 3884884-3DFA0-FDA-D3ADFA) Were installed, making your computer force shut down. You can now permanently delete it. After that, u may want to make an auto clean %temp% file (For those that don't know what %temp% is, it's "Temporarily" and not needed). Make a notepad file and name it DelTemp.bat . After that open it, copy and paste the following thing: @echo off
runas /user:%username%\administrator cmd
rmdir /S /Q %TEMP%
pause
NOTE: No need to change %username% to your username. If you don't know this question "why don't just scan it with your anti virus" well, it doesn't pick it up. Hope i was a help! Oh and source @marcocorriero11 he helped me out ^^ thanks!

What antivirus are you using? I tried eset (full version), malwarebytes (limited edition) and Kaspersky (full version) but nothing.

I do not recommend deleting %temp% because it can cause system instability. I (manually) clean my computer regularly and used to do that too, but I noticed that it caused a few applications to error; most of them don't have a check built in for %temp% because the folder is supposed to exist at all times. You can however clear it's contents when you don't have any foreground applications running.

Window He is using eset smart security 9 www.eset.com/intSoo he dont need it anymore, his pc is clean clean, no viruses can troll this antivirus I do not recommend deleting %temp% because it can cause system instability. I (manually) clean my computer regularly and used to do that too, but I noticed that it caused a few applications to error; most of them don't have a check built in for %temp% because the folder is supposed to exist at all times. You can however clear it's contents when you don't have any foreground applications running. You can steven, it deletes unused files, the used files will be kept. in cmd way, if you try to deletes the files , but not the temp folder, just his content, he will delete all unused files, soo is cleaning the folder, and it excludes used process files shrulesthe replacing is not needed, the %username% and %temp% uses system vars, if you try to run Echo %username% Echo %temp% you will see your name and your directory, soo basically is universal with all windows pc

It is, I use it as well as malwarebytes regularily as and i almost never have any problems with malware. Sometimes the freeware alternative is the better one.

I personally keep AdwCleaner, along with CCleaner, Recuva (freeware file recovery software, same company as CCleaner), and a few other useful tools on a USB drive in case I need to use them on someone else's PC. There's a lot of people in my area that only know how to turn a PC on, and not much else...
