Preferably one with more than 1gb ram, and needs to have an ftp server where I can upload my premade one. I'd like it to be close to $5/month.

Thanks, i'm going to get a 2gb ram server. Good god your prices are cheap. I made this thread because my parents were paying $5/month to microsoft for an xbox gold account, and i don't play on the xbox anymore. So I was thinking, why not spend it on something that i'll actually use?

It's apparently based in Europe, what if we live outside of Europe? (like, the US for instance?)

Whats better tho SSD or HDD? SSD will be better, but HDD is perfectly fine for the majority of people. Most likely TF runs off of a HDD.

For example, PVP servers you find ping is an incredibly important aspect, whereas all op servers, ping can be huge and you wont notice a real difference.

It hardly makes a difference on PvP servers either. As far as I'm aware Minebattle is US hosted and I've never experienced any issues with it.

For those that are experienced with PVP, ping is noticeable. MB is US hosted and its why a lot of people from the EU dont play on it, or avoid it for proper PVP stuff because the ping. Ping makes more of a difference than you think, thats coming from MB staff and players.

In games such as Battlefield the ping makes a lot of difference. The difference is no where near as much as it is in Minecraft. Sure, it's better, but it's still playable on a >100 ping.

But didn't the panel service went down and all the server owners were pissed? I can confirm this, as my server was wiped because the host "forgot" to save it before they wiped Multicraft.

All servers were backed up. If your server wasn't included in that, that meant that it didn't exist when we took the backup.
