The subject policy replaces all previous policies for the subject and has been approved by Windows - there are several changes to streamline and make it less complicated
1. An admin that plans on being absent from the server for greater than a month should post an inactivity or resignation notice as a courtesy to other admins. It's not required that the admin provide a reason but if known, state an estimated return date or state indefinite. Avoid posting inactivity notices of less than a month due to school or work - that's to be expected.
Note: With this updated policy, you can choose to "quit", "resign", go inactive, or whatever word you think fits. Nonetheless, your post should comply with admin conduct policies and forum posting guidelines.
2. If an admin loses server admin for inactivity but is still listed as a forum admin, they can be re-supered by any other admin as long as they are still listed as a forum admin; ensure verification is done to prevent giving admin to a poser. If an admin loses server and forum admin for inactivity (para 3), they should apply for reinstatement and reference their inactivity notice to expedite approval.
3. Automatic admin removal: Regardless of whether or not an inactivity notice is filed, admins are subject to automatic removal from server admin after one week of server inactivity and removal from forum admin if inactive (e.g. nothing posted for greater than a month).
4. For Telnet Clans and Seniors, please PM _Windows to be removed from Panel access if you have it.
5. When posting indefinite activity notices, please do NOT remove your forum admin perms or change your shown group to regular member instead of admin. You will be removed automatically if you become inactive on the forum for a month. If you wish, you may ask a forum moderator to remove you from your forum rank earlier, but don't do it yourself or change the group shown.
6. If you self-delete your forum account without notice, it will be treated as a possible security breach and you will be removed from server admin removal and banned until you create a new account with a proper explanation.
